Saving up for a gaming system has been quite tasking and the long wait was pure torture. Finally, I present to all of you my gaming rig, the product of hard work over the last months – “Selendis”.
Since last year, I’ve been saving up on getting a computer system to satisfy my gaming needs and surely I was not disappointed with all that effort I gave for this system. The desire for quality gaming has Caperture Tech Project For 2012 was born out of that desire.
Selendis is quite the beast for the amount of power and beating she could take in the tasks I put her through. Powered by the latest Intel Ivy Bridge processor and AMD graphics, games and multitasking are no longer a problem.
Processor: Intel 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Core i5-3570k 3.4ghz
GPU: Sapphire 7970 OC Edition
RAM: G.Skill RipjawsX 1600 8gb (4×2)
Power Supply: Corsair AX1200
Motherboard : Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H-WB-Wifi
HDD: 1TB WD Caviar Green (To be used as archive once WD Black is obtained)
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Mass Effect Edition
Mouse: Razer Orochi Blade Edition
Cooler: Corsair H100 Closed-Loop Watercooler
Monitor: LG E2351VR 23″ LED Monitor
I’m looking into getting an SSD to speed this system a bit further especially with the OS boot time and general loading times of programs. Maybe thru a cache configuration on some part of it. This might actually mean that I’ll have to format the system again to install the OS on the SSD and remove it from the hard drive.
Also looking into getting a full sized mouse. The Orochi is rather small for a desktop. I was actually planning to get a gaming laptop at first when I got the Orochi then I decided that I had to go for the real gaming rig instead.
